About the Hike:

The Walk of Peace will lead us on a series of trails and fire roads that zig-zag through a wooded canyon up to the upper Ojai Valley, concluding with a spectacular 360º sunset view to the west and to the Topa-Topas in the northeast. It is a moderate-level hike with some uphill grade, suitable for anyone in good physical condition.

About Transportation:

SHUTTLE SERVICE.  If you intend to take the shuttle AND HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED, please read carefully:
  Please park at the tennis court parking lot on S. Montgomery Avenue behind Libbey Park.
  Please arrive in time to park by 4:45 and walk to one of the two buses.
  The buses will leave the parking lot promptly at 5:00.
  After dinner, a bus will leave The Ojai Foundation at 8:30 PM.
  Additional shuttles back to town will be available between 7:30 and 10PM

CARPOOLING. If you intend to carpool, please:
  Drive two cars, and leave one at The Ojai Foundation.
  Park the other car just before the Meditation Mount driveway on Reeves Rd.
  (Please turn you car around at the stop sign and parking on the north side of the street.)
  A volunteer will be there to assist, and a shuttle will take you up the driveway
  to Meditation Mount -- or you can walk up.
  Please give yourself plenty of time to park at both locations and try to be ready
  to go up the Meditation Mount driveway by 5PM.

About Dinner and Webcast:

After the walk and closing ceremony, we will be serving a simple Indian-style feast at 7:30 at The Ojai Foundation.  Please Register so we can plan the meal accordingly. Those who have registered will be fed first.   Donations will be gratefully accepted.

The concert webcast will be shown in the Council House at 9PM.  The concert, held at Le Zenith Theatre in Paris, is hosted by Peace One Day ambassador Jude Law and Sharon Stone, with performances from Patti Smith, Youssou Ndour, Charlie Winston, -M-, Yodelice, Ayo and Vanessa Paradis. As part of the show, there will also be short films and updates on humanitarian, education and sport activities taking place on Peace Day.  So inspiring!
